Keep your House Green & Clean with USA Made Ology Products

Ology debuted late last year. I first noticed the selection of products in a Walgreens insert. I was totally surprised and taken aback by what I saw in the huge 2-page spread, the Healthy Child Healthy World logo!  I had to try these. Luckily, thanks to HCHW collaboration with ology, I got just that chance.

This is an organization near and dear to my heart. Their mission is to make sure we keep our kids healthy through education and safe products. This endorsement is huge and not paid for. Ology products are completely free of harmful chemicals. They are safe for use by all ages. I perused my local store and these are what I decided on trying out.
I was eager to try out the baby lotion first. I am always looking for that one that will make Tubby stop hating everything 'not oil' we put on his skin. The texture is a little like whipped butter, thick but also fluid. The smell is dreamy, subtle and a little hard to pinpoint. It definitely did not smell like Lavender or Chamomile, the fragrances named on the front. However, I am a little leery of the sweet scent because it is not identifiable. The ingredient list does not state more than 'natural fragrance', which is ambiguous. I did like that it contained coconut oil as the main lubricant since that is what we have used for over a year now on Tubby's skin and in his food!

Next I tried the laundry liquid. I love trying out new laundry detergents (yes, I am a collector of everything, including washing detergents).
The HCHW logo, link, and safety information is listed clearly on the back. The instructions listed to use a cap and a half for a normal wash, that seemed a little odd to me. I erred on the side of less since I never know how much water will be in my washer.  The liquid was a little more runny then I am used to in my liquids and had a slight smell. The laundry did wash clear and produced no smell itself. Good sign.

Lastly came the toilet paper. It costs just over 50 cents a roll, a price I don't mind paying at all, because that is what I usually pay.   The paper is tree-free, a totally new concept to me. That means the paper is produced from sugarcane byproducts and bamboo. Too cool.
The rolls are waffle weave. There are little squares embossed on it. I liked it wasn't just plain old solid tissue paper texture. It also doesn't feel like tissue paper. The toiled paper is pretty sturdy and thick enough. I say that because it is not puffy and squishy and soft like a lot of brands out there. Don't be surprised or disappointed. This paper is functional and environmentally conscious. It serves its purpose well.

I hope you are inspired to check out the ology selection in your local Walgreens (or online). These products are safe for all to use, don't harm the environment and they are made in the USA!

Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to purchase review products. All opinions are my own, however, yours may be different.

  11. I really hope they will start bringing these products to Canada, I would love to try them, because like you I love trying new and environmental products. My hubby calls me a cleaners hoarder, but I just tell him its better than a jewelry hoarder, which would cost him way more, so he will leave my cleaners alone:). Thank you for posting about such a wonderful sounding products:)
